172 Operation Konrad

One of the last german operation on the Hungarian Soil in 1945 to liberate Budapest. On the 7th of january the 7th russian elite (guard) tank company occupied the village named Zámoly, equipped with T-34, Is-2, Su-85 and land-lease Sherman tanks and halftrucks. The parts of the 3rd armoured division's panzergrenadiers, and panzers (PzVI.B, Panther, Jagdpanther, PzIV) with the hungarian SS Kampfgruppe-Ney made a suprise attack against the resting, digged in soviet forces.
