Omaha Beach was the name on key to one of the main invasion landing points ally of France occupied by the Germans in the landings of Normandy of June 6, 1944.
The beach was located on the coast northern France, facing the Canal de La Mancha, and it was 8 km long, extending from the east of Sainte- Honorine-desPertes to the west of Vierville-sur-Mer.
