version of Epic is now in line with CCN v3.5 for all key functions plus it still has the Epic card drawing etc.

Mother Russia -
Join a side.
Before dealing cards: Roll MR dice.

Now, press F5 for the number of successful rolls; each press brings a Paper Strength counter from the palette to the side.
Do this even for Cossacks and Fieldworks (see below).

LN, LT, FA - drag and drop the counter to the piece.

Cossack or Fieldworks - right-click on the counter to convert it to the piece, move accordingly.

There is also a Mother Russia command on the LN,LT and FA pieces as before, but it is now keyed on Alt+C (in the Special Menu).
This can be used as an alternative to the counters or to revert to a standard strength piece.

New Feature:
March Move stars work in a similar way to Paper Strength counters and are pre-placed by Command Stars cards.

 
A couple of bugs in v3.0a48 recently came to my attention that will have inconvenienced anyone who used the module. Apologies if you have been affected. I found the cause and tested a fix. I will be resuming a game tomorrow, where I will be able to confirm this properly.

Meanwhile, please don't start any new games with v3.0a48. I have removed it from dropbox, so the link will not work. If you need to start a new game before Friday, you may find the fixed version, v3.0a48A, here... www.dropbox.com/s/eh1imv524bb2k09/CCNapoEpic3a48A.vmod?dl=0
If you are mid-way through a game, I can update your saved game file and allow you to proceed with the bug fixed. Get in touch if you would like me to do this for you.

the french never get luck to charge action with his cav and the british up average dice the first middle and up up more with the card the second half
i wonder how i done to finish 15? in the final against melee inf =2hit /12dice,,,,,i was very low low low low,,,,

Round 4  MM18 Epic Vitoria (21 June 1813) - British Right flank

Player 1 (Gileforn) 15 Banners 43 Blocks lost

Player 2 (Gonzo) 10 Banners, 57 Blocks lost

That was a really good epic battle with maneuvres and rapid attacks. Allies have taken French left flank throwing there defence there, but on the right French troops were the best one. They had taken all rushes and havn't move out of there. Allies had good handicap in the beginnig, but French made all to fight for the victory All game was finished in the center where both sides had good positions. Prepared cavalry charge by Allies have made a winner.

Thanks a lot to Gonzo for a good game.

Round 6 MM13 Epic Albuera - 16 May 1811

Player 1 (Gileforn) 18 Banners 60 Blocks lost

Player 2 (Philippe) 15 Banners, 67 Blocks lost


That was an epic game in all dimensions. All have start on the French left that is very powerfull and Allied left. French troops leaved their right flank, grooping in the center. Rush attacks from their right were thrown back, have a chance to defeat some cavalry troops. In the first part of the game luck on defence and attack was on the Allied side, but cards were perfect at the French one. Three Elan cards where played on the French Left with just two missed dice. Allied forces have really lost supply and during three attempts to recover infantry with rally card and two tactics they have recovered zero. On the second part situation was changed with dice luck and French destroyed all Allied right flank, but British forces have reached base line of French in the center. All left part of the map from the center was French - all right Allied, very unsual situation.

The final result could be very different, but with the laast attacks Allies ere lucky in defence and made a final planned attack well.

Round 4  - MM18 Epic Vitoria (21 June 1813) - British Right flank

Phil (French) - 13 banners, 54 blocks lost

Allies start off with some dash, making a forced march with Stewart, and moving across the bridge at Tres Puentes. Then a Bombard on the right brought up the Artillery, forming a massive 4 unit grand battery. Quite impressive, but actually hard to find targets.

In the centre, River Crossing 1 started well, with charging British cavalry combined with the Horse artillery eliminating 1 French artillery on a 6d attack, and then a 2nd artillery on a 4d attack. This set the pace for the game. The Allies could score hits on the French Artillery, but not much else. Ultimately this crosing was driven back with almost total loss, Kempt and the RL were the only survivors. The GHC did virtually nothing.

Crossing 2 was over the stream on the Allied right, which did reasonably well turning that flank with a Bayonet charge until Stewart ran out of supplies and marched from next the French board edge to his own baseline to restore his ammunition and snuff. Morillo and his band of fighters was left alone and were destroyed. Thus ended Crossing 2, which had briefly seized Subijana.

Crossing 3 was across the bridge over the Stream, using a rare Allied LGM card. The French seemed to have an endless supply of LGM cards to move their forces around to meet whatever threat the Allies were trudging towards, including playing 2 simultaneously! Alten and his Light infantry, a British line under Cole and a Portuguese Line setup camp just behind the hills. A French forced march in the centre and cavalry charge of their Left swept them away, except for Alten and a sole LT block who made a miraculous escape, made more miraculous by Alten's hopeless efforts to reform. Crossing 3 was a disaster, and the Allies settled down to bombardment on this flank.

A few isolated attempts to cross failed here, notably a lone HC that crossed at Tres Puentes, charged the French cavalry giving 1 hit, only to be totally destroyed trying the retire. Otherwise the Rifle lights made a few crossings and returned.

Crossing 4 was made on the far Allied left, with Picton having diligently trudged forwards over many turns, observed all the French LGM into the centre except for a lone artillery unit, and reinforced with both Rifle lights and an artillery emptying Lermanda. Picton made his flank march, by the bridge at Estarrona. The French counter was the inevitable LGM of infantry reinforcements, but none the less, Picton was undetered and Forced Marched forwards assisted by an Inspired Leadership. The inevitable artillery cannister mostly missed, and Picton finished off the artillery. At this juncture the score was about 10-8 to the French, but of the 8 banners, 5 were French artillery! The French countered with Short Supply on the Rifles, and easily polished off Picton's troops. Capable Tactician then returned Short Supply! Picton had retreated to the next line, which Bayonet charged the french line. Pity they forgot their bayonets, missing entirely with 4d. The French made no mistake, Short Supply on the full strength Portuguese 3rd line (who hadn't fired a shot), and their own Bayonet charge to polish off Picton. Here the score stood at 13-8 to the French, defeat looked likely. The only saving grace of this debacle was the Rifles took out the French cavalry, which opened the centre to Allied cavalry incursion.

Crossing 5. At the same time, Cole & Amarte took command of a foot and horse artillery, and supported by a weakened Portuguese infantry, began crossing the stream at it's outlet to the Zadorra River. Where infantry had failed, artillery would prevail! Once the French cavalry had been destroyed on the Allied left, the Rifles and artillery carefully began the sniping, but in the centre, a Portuguese HC crossed at Tres Puentes to link with Amarte's HA and began a rampage through the depleted infantry of the centre, taking 4 banners, and 3 leaders escaping off map, which the Rifles finally found good form getting 3 INF on 3d for a kill, and yet another leader escaping off map. The Rifles in Lermanda made for the 15th banner as the immediate Temporary Victory banner.

do you know i lost 4 art first 4 or5 turn and even i got match ball in the final
that s funny game 6d against hc (1block) 80% to hit and god stayed english....
so strategy game i was underout by mark ,,with no art i just played some counter attack along the 80% time and stand over the top.....

we must to stop heilberg round because greg when do automatic off ,,the marker can t do clear and end turn button no effect,,,it s a pity
automatic is so long to play and in mannual is bug a lot
