So some unanswered cases in the Examples;
In Example 1, if a Unit fired from the hex to the left of B, would the fence count?
LOS is clear, but the BattleCry examples would regard it as protected

I would agree - if the LOS crosses the fence as it goes to the centre of the hex, fence protection counts.

Battle Effect should read;
Stone (0nly) - Target ignores 1 symbol from ranged combat, except from artillery.

Fences fences fences and Support! But what is exactly a support?

In the rules book it is stated that: a fence will act as one support. It is not really clear what a support is and it is not explained anywhere in the rules.
On the Terrain Effects Chart of the game it is written that: Fence counts as one friendly support from ranged combat, except from artillery.
The only guess I can have is that it acts as 1 friendly support as in the effect 2 friendly adjacent units can make you ignore 1 flag.
So if you are behind a fence and there's a friendly unit near you, you can ignore a flag.
Online the main thought is that 1 support=ignore 1 flag.
Who can help me? Cheers and Regards.
See you on the battlefield.

that's correct. See the Bolster morale rules, but essentially a fence acts as if it were 1 adjacent unitfor the purposes of bolstering morale
