My write ups have been refused 2X as potential hacker attacks. I give up. John was a great opponent, and played very well. He was also on time, played quickly, and took no breaks. How about that, Mark McG?! My dice did him in in Game 1. Don't try the Spanish Left. We both did and both failed. I did 24 hours after I saw John's attack fail in game 1 - what does that say about me?

I haven't heard from my opponent.  I would gladly be matched with another, if possible.

I think Mark McG will award you default points but if he approves a substitute player, I will be up for that.

I'm not too concerned about the points and would like to play. I only worry that I am reintroducing myself to the game and I may not be able to give you much of a challenge. With that being said, it would be great to have game, if Mark McG is okay with it. I am on the East Coast of the US (GMT -4) and am mostly free Tuesday - Friday.

kfan -  certainly play if you can, no harm if the scheduled match eventuates, just means you had a practice run.

Mark B is at the top of the scores, so I'll think about what to score if the scheduled match with Dawnreader doesn't materialise.

The French pushed forward aggressively on the left. The Spanish cavalry met them but came out worse and retreated. The Spanish right then continued a further withdrawal to avoid the French. The fight then shifted to the center. The French advanced off their hill to engage the Spanish. The French gained 2 banners before retreating, then the French right joined the fray but their advance was cut short. The battle then shifted back to the left and the French leaders pushed the Spanish to the back line and made them pay dearly with their extra retreat hex. The French won the day without losing a unit. There were a few 1 block units but the Spanish dice were definitely not going their way.
 
Game 2

The French pushed forward on their right gaining the hills and harassing the Spanish with an invincible light cavalry unit. Most of the fighting stayed on the hills on the French right. The Spanish managed to push the French back off their hill and gain 2 banners but the loss of 3 Spanish units and the Spanish leader Luzan ensured the Spanish end was near. More French light cav put the Spanish into square as they tried to delay the inevitable. The French center infantry then followed up and eliminated the squares for the win.
 
Thank you Craterus for the games. This was one of my first game with the Spanish. Not sure how the Spanish could win this one. Maybe if they had a few more Guerrilla Actions.

Two very similar games with the French attacking all out and the Spanish trying to survive as long as possible and trying to score as much banners as they can. In both games the Spanish had not so good cards and only the one guerilla marker at the start of the game.
