Game 1
Mark McG (Spanish) 6 banners
TTC (French) 4 banners
A tough struggle largely trading shots from the respective ridgelines after the French cavalry on their right was eliminated with 4 sequential cavalry hits. On the other flank, the French cavalry rode into artillery cannister and first strike that thwarted their attack. French infantry then tried to force the ridge, but the Spanish defence was effective.

Game 2
TTC (Spanish) 0 banners
Mark McG (French) 6 banners
A French plan entirely dictated by a hand full of right cards. French cavalry pinned the Spanish flank infantry, and the French infantry finished them off, eating down the line. In desperation (?) the Spanish infantry conducted two frontal bayonet changes up the centre, demonstrating very clearly why Spanish infantry should not melee uphill vs French infantry. French fire & hold finished off the remnants.

Thanks to all Marks efforts, we have used the latest version of the mosule, at is is superb.

It was a tight battle but the French pulled it at the end. It is a very nice future that you can see all the data ans see how your dice luck fared

In this case my luck was -8% and Marks +4, but I was lucky where it counted, and got one of his leaders. At the end this was the deciding factor

Game 2
TOGANALPER  (Spanish) 3 banners
RİVERWANDERER (French) 6 banners

This game put the French on the back foot, with the Spanish playing a flurry of Scout cards during the game, soon building a stock of Guerilla Action counters which they kept available until late in the battle. This forced the French into a cagey, defensive posture, hoping to benefit from battleback and small attacks until the Spanish advantage was wound down.

Luckily for the French two Guerrilla Actions were defeated in succession which helped them greally.
Overall dice luck was calculated at +8% Spanish vs +16% French, which showed in some of the combats.

The final dispositions show how the French relied on the ridge for shelter and kept at a distance from French artillery. A turn or two earilier, French Cuirassiers braved "Canister" to destroy the central French artillery but failed to Retire & Reform successfully from the nearby Spanish Line Infantry:

Round 3 games between Jim F. and Andras K.

Jim (French) - 6
Andras (Spain) - 3

Both sides started off with bad dice, but the French cavalry on the left was able to put some Spaniards into square so we got to roll a lot more of them.

Jim (Spain) - 6
Andras (French) - 5

My dice started out strong, posting me to a 2-0 lead. His counter on the French left killed a lot of blocks and had him up 5-4. Spanish guerillas were very effective and a last shot melee attack against French infantry in the center gained the final block.
