Alternate setup if you do not like scenarios beginning engaged would be to pull leftmost FR LN unit back one and move the YG with Dumoistier back to that now open slot and then to move the other YG back one so it is adjacent to the FA and forest. The scenario was played and seems fine as published, but I know some people miht prefer the forces not be adjacent at start.

Two huge defeats for myself against my old comrade Guillaume aka Leboucher aka The Butcher of Borodino.
Very interesting scenario ! Leboucher has installed an altar with candlemasses at his home to invoke the great spirit of Brad... (We're gonna play another scenario of Brad tomorrow night to see if I 'll get more luke on dices...)

The Guard Heavies and Lights inflicted incredible damage on the Allied cavalry and artillery. Block losses were 37 Allied and 27 French. The towns on the left and the hills on the right changed hands, finally falling to the Allies who achieved an 11-6 victory.

The three Iron Will counters made the villages very bloody for the Young Guards. They were easily destroyed in a counterattack by the Prussian Grenadiers.
