"French balloon watching over the battlefield: After playing a scout card the French player may watch the full opponent hand but then only draw one single card."

For the tournament, play this rule as just the Command cards, not the Tactician cards.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

Are allies use all rules for the Austrian blocks? Is Battalion mass in effect?

GG06 - Fleurus (26 June 1794)

Game 1
Viridovilas (Austrian): 9
MarkMcG (French): 4

It was as expected a tough battle. The day was mainly decided by a pair of episodes: two brave French charges welcomed by Austrian artillery canister (lucky draw). The first one in the early stage of the battle conducted by a bunch of Republican infantries against the Allied left flank and the second by the sumptuous French cavalry in the centre of the field.

Thanks to you for designing it, Guillaume. The Montgolfier stuff risks to be a bit cumbersome when playing online but the scenario is fun even without that rule.

GG06 - Fleurus (26 June 1794)

Game 1
Giulio (Austrian): 9
Gileforn (French): 8

The score stayed more or less balanced from the beginning to the end. The French started aggressively attacking on their left flank. The Allies relied mainly on their artillery (two bombard cards in a row) to reduce and possibly dislodge French units from the villages. They suffered the usual losses from the French heavy cavalry units but in the end they managed to eliminate them both. In the last 3/4 rounds, the victory could have gone both ways. I think this is the first time I play against Andrey (Gileforn) and I really enjoyed it. He reminded me of the rules on a couple of occasions and was very patient for a disconnection caused by my new computer. The log file is from him.

TY for the word. I hope you still used the balloon rule for the best balance of the game.
