Round 2: CCM 002 Catalaunian Fields (451 AD) Roman Left

mk20336 (Hun): 6 banners, 29 blocks lost
stormwalker (Roman): 7 banners, 27 blocks lost

In the first part of the battle both sides engaged in a lot of ranged fire, which resulted in one banner each. In the second part of the battle the main forces in the centre section finally clashed. The Roman side being luckier with their rolls was able to secure a very narrow victory.

Many thanks to Michał for playing!

Dear MarkG,
our round 3 results that gottoman has posted down below does not show on the final results table. I believe that was an unforeseen omission. Just wanted to give a heads up.

updated results table
Still looking for a replacement Roman player.
If there is no replacement, the Barbarian scores will be kind of awkward, because of the variable banner counts between 5 to 9. Might use a percentage method to determine rankings.
e.g.
A player has scored 21 out of a possible 25 banners would be 84% compared to a player that has scored 23 banners out of 30 possible on 76%

Round 1 CCM 001 Utus River (447 AD)
Gonzo (Huns) 9 banners, 23 blocks lost
Stormwalker (Romans) 4 banners 43 blocks lost

Initial Roman Cav charge repulsed. Hun counter cav charge more successful, but lost 2 HC and a leader on 2 successive First Strikes. Hun missile fire then wore down Romans. Roman inf charge in middle could not catch the Hun Aux and final Hun Cav charge got victory. Synch issues raised their ugly head. Thanks to Stormwalker for game.

Round 5 CCA VV02 Battle of Salices (377 AD)

Michal K (Goths) 6 banners, 14 units lost
Greg O (Romans) 4 banners, 28 units lost

Surprisingly close battle and pretty bloody. After some regrouping, barbarian warrior horde charged from behind the hill on Roman left. But you would be surprised how stiff and accurate resistance the legions put up. One of the barbarian leaders was even killed. In the end, the Goth's numbers prevailed. Thanks to Greg for the game!

Round 4

EZPickins (Goth) 5 banners, 17 blocks lost
Stormwalker (Rome) 3 banners, 24 blocks lost

The first half of the game was mostly minor skirmishes and ranged fire mostly on the flanks. This all changed when I played inspired center leadership and my warriors charged into melee. Three Roman units died with no losses to the Goth. Counter attack was played and I lost a warrior but he was reduced to the southwest quarter of the map. Over the next several turns I took more losses as I tried to get at his most vulnerable unit. Eventually I succeed to win the game.

Marcin played a great game but it's tough with only three cards.

Round 6
toganalper (Goths) 7 banners, 23 blocks lost
stormwalker (Romans) 5 banners, 30 blocks lost

Eventhough the first push of the Romans came from the left. The Goths were able to push them back to their center line. The cavalry group of the Goths arrived from the right and Attackked the leaderless Roman left with back to back command cards. Most of the battle took place in the Roman right flank. Eventhough the Roman heavy foot groupd came for reinforcement. the Goths center also responded with their warriors running to the same place. It was a close battle at the end eventhoug at one point it was 5:1 for the Goths, where the Goths only loss were their leader.
