I feel disappointed after reading the Final Rulebook on the GMT website. Again I have to wait for the new LOH rules and new interesting units for Napoleon's Allies. Epic scenarios should be good, but still it is hard to find 8 people to play LGB. There should be some rules how to play 1v1, 2v2 battles it this format.
I've used these variants to play 2 & 4 player LGB scenarios, essentially setting it up as two standard games side by side.
The 2 player LGB was mentally taxing, and I was pretty much dazed by the end. 4 player was much easier mentally.
It misses the player interaction of larger games, but getting 8 players has been elusive for me.
