Played this one for the first time. The Lancers were devastating with a Mounted Charge card, sweeping away both Spanish cavalry units on the flank. However the battle was won by the Spanish when the French Heavy Cavalry failed to break two Spanish Infantry units, who formed square, and then hit one of the French HC units with a Combined Arms attack.

Played twice. We each played the Spanish. Result was 6-1 France each time. Im surprised that there are 30% Spanish wins recorded. Many of these were probably pre-GMT because we felt the 5-3 tactician card advantage actually was a signifcant feature for the french.

The list of French units contains GHC but I don't think that is correct. Can't find them anywhere on the map!

Should be a LNCR, I've fixed that up now. Thanks

Yes the Polish Lancers, you certainly don't want to fight without them!

Milhaud runs down the Spanish heavy cavalry. Soult victorious 6-2. The Spanish had only two cards with which activate their right flank. Freire is suspected of treason.

French win six to four after twenty-four turns. French were a bloody mess by the end of it though... not a single French unit was at full strength by the end of the game; most were reduced to under 50%.

Won as the Spanish 6-5. It's tough for them as the French have much the superior army and outnumber and outgun the Spanish on both flanks. All the action was on the French left/Spanish right. At 5-4 to France, the Spanish played two unit reform tactician cards before attacking on the right and blocking two French reactions with guerrilla tokens to have effectively three bites of the cherry to secure the 2 banners they needed for a narrow victory. Exciting game!
