After a certain amount of playtesting I'd like to offer this cavalry scenario set during Sir John Moore's retreat to Corunna. I haven't quite worked out how to add scenarios to the scenario bank, but if some kind soul could show me how I'd like to add this scenario as CK01.

You can find the scenario here.

P.S. Any ideas on how the drinking game could be included in Vassal games would be much appreciated.

Hello,

Thank you for this scenario : we'll test it Saturday at our Club..;)

I was first afraid that one French HC was missing (with the available blocks), but this is ok as they have only 3 blocks in the scenario.

About your optional additional rules (Drinking Game), I suggest Beer for the British Player and Wine for the French player : with switching sides, of course, for the return game...

Cheers

Alea jacta est...

May I suggest Port wine (a white one like a "Lagrima" or a red "Tawny") for the british side which is well appreciated by citizens (and others) of the "perfide Albion" ?
The games will cost a lot in this case

Pascal - I would suggest saving it until the end of the evening as it plays very quickly and doesn't require a huge about of setup. We managed five games in just over an hour during playtesting.

The win to loss ratio was 3-2 to the French, which seemed about right, as compared to the 3-0 washout that occurred before I took a block from the Heavies. The British player should struggle to win this, but it's not impossible by any means.

As for drinks of preference, I'm sure whatever comes to hand will be fine, though I would say I have never had a bad Cockburns and port is a drink where one can secure a significant increase in quality for a relatively minor increase in expenditure.

I'm afraid of this but I don't think it's allowed to drink alcohol beverages in our saturday afternoon club (which has a significant number of young people around 15 years old) maybe at "Les Prétoriens" on friday evening.
More seriously, this scenario should be played in an old club with leather armchairs and wooden style like we can see in Sherlock Holmes movies.
A little bit difficult for us who live in Le Mans (No old english clubs around there).;) :P
