Open Tournament 2016 Round 3

Will a standings table be published after this round? If one has been published before I must have missed it.

There was one published after the second round. I imagine Mark will post it again after the third round. For sure, Bayernkini will be top, at least a couple of points clear after his double-win over sansmerci.

Maybe Sansmerci have logfiles. My logs forced in both games vassal issues and shows over and over again asynchronous situations. Therfore i didnt have any logs here.

What looked to be a close game in the beginning turned into a rout. We had numerous issues with VASSAL so not sure if it is a VASSAL or connection thing as we kept having to synchronize and Vince at one point had to reboot.

In any event, most of the play for the Russians were in the center where the ART was consolidated and attempted to reduce front line French but did little damage. an attack on the left flank initially caused some Russian casualties but a counter-attack and an LGM allowed the Russians to move into position to bring the block count to 3 a piece. A French combo of short supply against one ART unit and a CAV unit running up to damage another with a French ART finishing off the piece. Leaving the French in control of a hill hex and ahead 5-3. The Russians tried pushing the CAV off the hill but were unable to do so. a final French Bayonet charge allowed the winning blows to be made.

There were 2 log files as we were interrupted by the numerous server connection issues (file a first then c).
