Thanks Pascal,

It works perfectly, better than I expected even :)
Creating the Map is faster than setting it up to play test and your Word Template makes formatting the text a breeze. If GMT don't also host it on their own site they are crazy :)

I've asked GMT permission to post this Vassal Module in this website.
After confirmation you'll find it inside download section!

P.S. Pascal should release a minor update soon... :-)

Thank you very much Chris, for testing and for your kind feed-back...:)

As Alessandro said, a new version will be ready soon with some modifications : new labels for nations, new artillery icons, better visibility in windows, simple click for selecting all (except label nations) etc...

But I think that's the main improvement has been made by Alessandro : terrain tiles and pieces units now autocenter during setting, although you can adjust freely the setting of Leaders and other elements. This really make the use of the module easier and quicker ! Thanks again for that..;)

for those not knowing Vassal, I made a small pdf here ..difficult to make more simple and sorry for my english which is not always very good..:(

cheers,

Hi Pascal,
finally I've published both your Vassal Module ( HERE ) and your PDF Manual ( HERE ).
I'm sure users will find them useful.

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you for all : I just sent you this afternoon a final version with small update.

For inaugurating this editor, I finished the scenario I was working on.. (edit: link suppressed)

Now, the documentation takes much more time than the technical creation with the editor..

But it would be much better,
we had only one vassal module, which can be used
as scenario editor AND gaming module (like in CCA).

So i could setup once a scenario (also fanscenarios)
to share it here or anywhere AND can play immediately
with same savefile on vassal

Hi Michael,

My only purpose was to offer a tool allowing people to edit a scenario in the game style, print it AND Play it with their Game box, as we do here at our club in France.

I am sorry, and as I don't want to create any trouble, I removed my link above.

Cheers,

This post should be not against you,
but i hope, some officials of GMT reading here also,
because the familiar CC vassal gamers have a another big problem

or more direct, if i see your good scenario editor,
then it must be clear, which style a official game module must have also!

Actually Michael, I disagree.
Editing Scenarios and Playing them are two entirely different issues and have different needs.
It would be nice if Scenarios generated by Pascal's Module could be imported into yours and/or Jole's Modules, but the clean, uncluttered interface makes scenario creation far easier.
In the Player modules well over half of the screen real-estate is used for such things as Cards, Dice and Event tracks, which have no barring on the creation process. On the other hand Pascals interface focuses on a Crisp, Uncluttered Map making it easy to generate Scenarios intended for Print Publication for the many hundreds out there who do not play on VASSAL.

All 3 Modules have their place and I have them all loaded, as I am sure others do too.

Cheers
Chris
