Solitaire 2x, Romans winning both 7 -1, and 7 - 4. The Gauls could not gain the walls. Fun scenario to play.

Gauls swarmed the walls at multiple points with three!!! line commands. Romans were not able to get reinforcements in time and were cut down on the wall through force of numbers. Caesar ran away in terror. 7-4 Gaul win.

My wife and I have played this several times and the Gauls kept losing 7 to 6.
Today we discovered that we were playing it wrong.
We played it correctly today and the Gauls won 7 to 6.

Now we are playing it correctly, this is an awesome scenario. The Gauls won twice and the Romans won once. And all of the scores were 7 to 6. The scenario is very difficult to play and very intense.
It plays more like a WWI battle.
We have played it over a dozen times and only once did the Gauls break through and captured the camps.

A hard fought 7:5 Gallic victory. The Romans didn't have the cards early on to bring in all the reinforcements, and after the numerous crisis points at the walls, there was no opportunity to do so, as it risked being overwhelmed. This is exactly what happened in the end on the Roman left, where there just wasn't enough strength left to throw the Gauls back from the walls yet again. The Barbarian javeliners are incredibly numerous, and this served from the start to not allow the Roman side to exchange in a prolonged missile duel with them from the walls.

One if the most fun to play scenarios we ever encountered, replete with historical flavour, epic action and superbly asymmetrical balance. Incredible job Brent Steeves!
