Hi

I noticed there is no miniatures section like on cc ancients. I have replaced all the blocks with 1/72 scale miniatures and would be willing to post up the figures I used to discuss with others what figure they use to represent the blocks.

I'm currently working my way through the Russian army.

Regards
Dave

Impressive stuff. How do you distinguish between the units e.g. Light from Line? Do you use tokens / markers for the three artillery pieces or do you simply remove the crew figures?

For artillery I use 1 gun and 3 crew removing the crew as hits are taken.
To tell line from light is done with painting the uniform. The difference between the old guard and grenadiers is that the old guard have some yellow to represent the eagle on the bearskins and have 3 chevrons on the left arm to represent services

Light infantry

Grenadiers

french militia

old guard

young guard

Militia are more Italeri french infantry the lights and young guard are HAT light infantry and the grenadiers and old guard are Italeri grenadiers

Looks like really impressive work dagorman - any chance of some more focused shots to reveal your troops in their full glory?

btw, I'm embarked on a very similar project (1/72). I'll try to get some photos online just as I soon as I can finish a couple more units...

French Light Cavalry models Italeri Hussars painted as the 9th Hussars a bad choice as most Spanish Hussar regiments have a similar uniform

French lancers models Italeri Dutch/Polish lancers HAT do standard french lancers and if guard lancers are included in later expansions these guys will be used as the guard and the HAT models will fill in as lancers

French Heavy Cavalry models Italeri French Dragoons

French Carabiniers used as French Cuirassiers models Italeri Carabiniers

French light guard cavalry models from Italeri french general staff set

French Generals

The first 4 are from Italeri french general staff set and the Swiss officer 5th is from HATs Prussian dragoons 1806

Will post the British up next depending on the new french units in the Russian expansion that should be it for the French for now. Future additions will include painting a light unit as the Legion Irlanda
