As the Roman player, Michal played this one exceptionally well, despite the odds. His double-time card pressed the center and led to the elimination of a Persian LB, W, and Elephant. I was able to respond with a Mounted Charge card that more than evened the losses, but unfortunately I was unable to foresee the fact that his 4 card hand included a counter attack, which put me on the brink of defeat. Fortunately, THREE different game ending rolls were influenced more by the Persian gods than the Roman ones, and I was able to survive and surround the final units needed to defeat him.
Travis (Persians) 6 banners, 23 blocks lost
MichalK (Romans) 5 banners, 26 blocks lost
