What does the rule about walls mean? And what is this cavalry Caesar (on the map - the average, in the description - heavy)?

7-2 Caesar. Despite Pompey's forces gaining the hillock first, Caesar's Heavy Foot double timed forward, managed to whittle away at the Medium foot holding it, and then clash of shielded their way through the line. A counter attack by the Pompiean Heavy foot in reserve was only partially successful (i.e. their dice sucked, and then their cards went south also after having some excellent ones), Meanwhile two of Caesar's auxilia somehow managed to kill two Medium horse on Pompey's right flank. Bit of a strange game, but somewhat historical with a melee in the centre around the hillock, sealed when the Roman horse came charging up and broke what was left of Pompey's foot and gained the summit, while Caesar sat back with the triarii in camp drinking wine and watching developments the entire game.
