The pending arrival of the new expansion has got me looking at my C&C Ancients again after a prolonged interest in A&A War at Sea.
I have the following 15 scenarios in various stages of production/playtesting:
1) 1st Acragas 474BC - The victorious tyrants of Himera, Gelon and Theron, fight it out for supremecy of Sicily.
2) Cabala 377BC - The prelude to Cronium. Dionysius defeats a large but poorly trained Carthaginian army.
3) Tunis 307BC - The climatic battle in N.Africa between Agathocles and the Carthaginians that saved Carthage.
4) Lilybaeum 277BC - Pyrrhus, King of Sicily, once again defeats Carthage with his elephants.
5) Baetis Valley 236BC - Hamilcar Barca, father of Hannibal, begins his camapaign for the conquest of Iberia (Spain) with a battle against a coalition of Iberian tribes.
6) Tader River 228BC - Hannibal overextends himself in the wilds of Iberia in the depths of winter and is overwhelmed. his army and sons escape, but he is killed.
7) Raphia 217BC - The Seleucids and Ptolemaics meet in one of the largest battles of the Hellenistic period.
Aebura 181BC - Post 2nd Punic war, and it is now the turn of the Romans to try and suppress the unruly Iberians. A Roman Consular army is faced with a much larger force of Iberians, but a cunning move surrounds the Iberians who are then slaughtered in a very bloody fight to the death.
9) Nepheris 149BC - Third Punic War. The Roman consul Manius Manilius rashly attacks the Carthaginian traitor turned hero Hasdrubal, in his remote desert fortress, and is only saved from destruction by the skilful intervention of the young tribune Scipio Aemilianus.
10) Last Phalanx Victory 149BC - The Pretender Andriscus has siezed the throne of Macedonia. Rome sends a praetorian army to put an end to Macedonian rebellion, but Andriscus wins an unexpected victory.
11) 2nd Pynda 148BC - Rome now sends a full consular army against Andriscus, and near their famous victory at Pynda in 168BC the Romans extinguish the last embers of Macedonian independance.
12) Stratonicea 130BC - Following his victory over the polyglot Roman army at Leuce, Aristonicus is brought to battle by a proper Roman army and defeated.
13) Isara River 121BC - The Romans defeat a massive Gallic army on the banks of the Rhone river.
14) Noreia 113BC - In a prelude to the titanic battle of Arausio, the Romans attempt to ambush the migrating Germanic horde, but suffer a massive defeat.
15) Muthul 109BC - The most famous battle of the Jugurthine war. A Roman army fights off a mass of light Numidian troops supported by Elephants.
