My wife and have played this scenario four times. She played the Sassanid. I play the Byzantines. She has won twice. I have won twice. We have found that the decisive action always occurred between the cavalry on the Byzantine left.

We are still feeling out the tactics that one has to use in this game.

The battle opened with Cav units launching volleys of arrows.  After a few rounds the Byzantines had lost some blocks.  The Sassanids then attacked on their right destroying some Byzantine Cav units and pushing them back.  Another attack did the same using a Center Leadership Card with a Mounted Charge option.  This resulted in a dead Byz general and more units.  The Byzantines did push back with their remaining Cav units, but it was too little too late.  The Sassanids win 6-2.  There was no battles on the Sassanid Left.  The Byzantines did not attempt to try, and the Sassanids just waited on the hill.  The whole game was a Cav duel.
