Background
"The outriders had warned us that a forced march was bringing the Starks to our camp earlier than we had anticipated. The change mattered little, as we were already waiting and well-prepared. When their army finally poured over the horizon to the sound of thundering drums, we saw a vast array of spearmen.
Charging through the rain of their archers' arrows, we tested the strength of their spears against the spirit and armor of our horses. It was certainly hazardous for us to ride into their lines this way, but once we had engaged them, they found themselves unable to withstand our onslaught of steel and steed."

Strategy Token Setup
The Stark player sets up 13 strategy tokens before the battle begins. Each of these tokens has a common back.
However, the front shows one of two different icons. Six of the tokens have the Strategic Location icon while the other seven have the Dummy Location icon. Only the tokens with the Strategic Location icon count towards the Stark victory.

Back | Strategic Location | Dummy Location |
Before the game, the Stark player secretly places one token facedown in each of the numbered hexes marked on the battlefield map. At least one token with a Strategic Location icon must be placed in each group (1, 2, and 3). Once setup is complete, neither side can look at the tokens on the battlefield until the end of the game.
Claiming Objectives - Only Stark units can claim strategy tokens. After a unit is ordered, if that unit is on a hex with a strategy token, the Stark player may take the token and place it in his play area facedown. If a commander's unit claims the token, it must be placed on the corresponding Commander card. A commander may only have one strategy token on his card. If the commander dies, any token on his card is removed from play immediately. The Stark player may look at any claimed tokens.
Lannister units may not claim strategy tokens although strategy tokens do not impede movement into the hex where the strategy token is.
