Background
"On the road to Riverrun, we had heard the news that we were too late. A Lannister siege was underway, and with this news, we took temporary refuge in a small village near Fairmarket to see if we could expect the arrival of a stronger force to break the siege or if we should instead return to Seagard.
To our dismay, it was the Lannisters who delivered their own brutal message to us first. The village has been surrounded and many buildings have been set ablaze. Lannister riders continue to press us further back toward the Blue Fork, and we can hear the distant pounding of a still larger force. Mark tells me the sound comes from the North and can only mean that the Stark forces are at hand. I wish I shared his comforting interpretation, but I fear there is no rescue on our horizon."

Victory
- If no instant victory is achieved, the player with the most victory points at the end of round 5 wins. VPs are awarded as follows:
- 1 VP for each enemy unit eliminated (immediate)
- 1 VP for each controlled objective (game end)
- 1/2/3 VP if enemy morale is in green/yellow/red (game end)
- If there is a tie, the player with the higher morale wins. if it is till a tie, the player with momentum wins.
- LANNISTER INSTANT VICTORY
- The Lannister player immediately wins if he eliminates the four Stark units starting on the Lannister side of the river.
- To act as a reminder, players can place a strategy token in each of those units' hexes at the beginning of the game (make sure to move the token with the unit). When the last unit with a strategy token is eliminated, the Lannister player wins.
- STARK INSTANT VICTORY
- Starting in round 3, the Stark player wins if he controls all three objectives at the end of any Command Phase.
