Game 2 Quebec

gotigerssc (French) 7 banners - 16 figures lost
toganalper (Brits) 3 banners - 28 figures lost

Samim pushed hard on my right flank and did a good bit of damage as he had the unit with Dumas down to just two blocks. However, I was lucky to get a really good roll on a rally card (4/5) to fully recover that unit and halt the advance. On the following turn, Samim countered and only rolled 1/5, which proved to be the turning point in the game. My unlucky moment happened when my full strength French unit with a leader failed the rally check, which caused the leader to also fail. Fortunately, the two units adjacent to them survived. We both had banners from scout cards and I claimed another from the sharpshooter. Samim will get his revenge at our next match at Ft. Carillon.

Game 13
MM05
gotiger(British) : 2banners - 34 figures lost
toganalper (French) : 8 banners - 15 units lost

The British initial assault was from their left. They managed to kill the only battery in the game, losing 3 of their inf units. From there on it was an uphill battle for the British and they never had a chance to get a foothold in the well protected and defended line. It was a fun game, gotiger was not as lucky as I was playıng rjvonline

I lost my computer in the mittle of the battle so gotiger will add the logfile to the forum

Round 1 - Renaud rjvonline (British) 7 VP & 19 blocks lost, vs Samim Togan Alper (French) 5 VP & 27 blocks lost

The opening cannonade was ineffective, and the British opted to move their 1-block ART back. The French moved on their left and were happy to score 2 hits against the British regulars at the end of the line, but the British pulled that unit back and it was never further attacked. Most of the action then took place on the French right as they used Quick-Step to get close to the British who responded with a Bayonet Charge. The fight went back and forth, with an initial advantage to the French (eliminating 1 unit of Regulars and the Highlanders), especially as the British were hindered by a very Right Sector biased hand, but the British held on, in particular their Townsend-led LT in the western woods (although that unit was eventually destroyed), and despite losing Wolfe to a Sharpshooter and having a March Stolen by the French that brought forth further strength on the French center-right and right, the British clawed back, eliminated both Dumas and Montcalm, and secured the win in their Center-Right with a Line Volley that took out one of the two French militia units for the last VP. Well played by both sides. Samim's die luck ran hot and somewhat cold, as did mine, and I'd say his cards seemed better, so I still deem myself lucky to pull it off.

Round 4
Gonzo (British) 6 banners
tognalper (French) 3 banners
French assault right  and center causes trade of units.  French then focus on British natives with no luck.  Brits able to charge out and rout enough French for game.  Thanks to Togan for a spirited game.

I also have strong doubts about playing Light Infantry skirmish along with a Line Volley card, mainly because I think the card is played when the unit moves (and it can't move with Line Volley).

Then playing Hold the line leader on the same unit is illegal, but c'est la vie.

What happens when a skirmishing light infantry is force to retreat by a Return Fire card is tricky, but I think the card sentence allows the Light infantry to stay in it's retreat hex, or return to original hex.

Game 11
Mark McG (French) 3 banners, 4 blocks lost
Gonzo (Brits) 1 banner, 12 blocks lost

Incomplete game, after a British foray around the French right flank, the Highlanders pentrated the abattis and destroyed the Canadian militia, and forced Levis to flee off the board. For this the highlanders paid the price, and Grant was killed by a Sharpshooter. At this point, the British attack lost heart and turned back, and after a short interval, the French sortied and hunted down the Rangers.

At this point the British huddled behind the trees and refused to attack, whilst the French returned to their fortifications and indicated they would not attack. After multiple turns of card flicking, we resolved to cease.

Finals GAME

Game 1:

gotigerssc ( British) : 6 banners won : 19 units lost
togan alper (Continental) 4 banners won : 30 units lost

The Continentals tried to break the British line and actually they managed to get some good results. Unfoprtunately the Militia di not want to fight and stayed behind Onbe single light british unit was able to scare both of the militia units to change the score from 4:4 to 6:4

Game 2:

toganalper ( British) : 6 banners won : 2 units lost
gotigerssc(Continental) 0 banners won : 26 units lost

This time the British insisted to keep his line intact and tried to just repell any attacjk with shooting. The birts again used onw light inf unit in the forest to attreac some attention and to hunt the weak prey.
İt was a lucky day for the well trained British sharpshooters and the result was decisive. Levis also got killed by the light infantry in the forest as he was trying to lead his granadiers into a melee in hte forest.

Final outcome

togan alper 10 banners won : 32 units lost
gotigerssc 6 banners wom: 45 units lost

The battles with gotigerssc were very tense and could have gone both ways each time. It is always a pleasure to play with gotigerssc

sidenote:

I was the runner up in the last MT03 of Tricorne and in the first game it was again 6:4 where I lost against gonzo. Tofay I felt like de javu, but unlike last time, where I won  the second game by 6:5 and lost the finals by one banner, I was able to keep my British lineintact and hence win the finals.Just very tense battles and you never know when you can not win arally check.

As always, Thanks to MarkG for organizing these great tournaments,
