I see that only one unit of Indian longbowmen is allowed in the army. Can anyone explain the reason behind this ?
From what I have read, archers were a major component of the Classical Indian army. In other wargame systems, archers form a major part of the army list.

This is an original idea by Stephen Templeton from early 2008.
Indeed there is only one archer, but there are also 3 + 3 slingers.
I can see your point about archers as being the major component of the Classical Indian army but at least at the ranged fire level there is the possibility of deploying a fair number of units!
I don't know if this is enough...

Slingers seem to be identical to bow infantry in terms of their stats. I think the author might have accidentally switched the two units, as historically indians did not have any abundance of slingers.

Is there something in the meta like bow infantry being too overpowered to be used in large numbers in a tournament game?

Blocks breakdown (Eastern Kingdom / tan) is definitely in favour of Bow Units

Great. As the game only has 2 units of slingers in total, it is most likely an error to include this many slingers and too few bowmen. If you are able to edit the image, it would be good. So as to avoid confusion to anyone who are playing indians (myself).

I'm missing the original model files, so I swapped the images of Slingers and Bows.
