The French military received more than 12,000 of these two-ton, two-axle, rear-wheel-drive utility trucks from the Citroën company between 1936 and mid-1940. These vehicles served as troop transports; artillery prime movers; ambulances; supply carriers; and many other capacities. It had a top spped of 84 mph. The Germans impressed about 6,000 of these into service after defeating the French in June 1940.
