Historical Notes
We followed the river north for two days until it made a sharp turn to the east. Brigands, who had been raiding local villages, were waiting with their Giant Spider on the other side of the shallow stream. Their numbers did not appear so great, so the order was given to outflank their position. But the brigands had set an ambush in the hills, and as our troops advanced, the brigands attacked along with another spider.

The Pennant player gains two additional Victory banners if both spiders are eliminated. Slaying only one spider does not provide additional Victory banners.
Briefing
• Two Spiders from two BattleLore games are necessary for this scenario. A Wood Giant may be substituted for the Green Spider Banner if necessary.
Special Rules
All units are considered Battle Savvy.
• The entire river is fordable. In addition, the shallow fords do not stop movement.
