Briefing
Thorin lies in the mountains with his companions, Gandalf the grey, his cousin Dain Ironfoot from the Iron Hills, Thranduil king of the Elves and Bard from Esgaroth. Arrayed against them is the apporaching goblin menace.
At the foot of the Lonely Mountain, Bolg, king of the Goblins and his fearsome allies the Wargs seek revenge on Dain who slew his father Azog. They also wish to seize the treasures gathered in the Lonely Mountain by its dreadful guardian, Smaug the golden.
Will the eagles and Beorn arrive in time to save them?
Special Rules
Beorn arrives on turn 6.
He has the same characteristics and attributes as a hill giant.
The eagles arrive on turn 8.
They are not shown on the map, they behave as an event:
throw a die for each remaining goblin unit; each matching colour banner rolled causes a hit and may be re-rolled. On a lore, the eagles drop the bodies of their enemies and a further hit is inflicted.
The elves are blue archers, Bard is a red archer.
The ramparts are impassable for cavalry.
