What was looking as an easy victory for the allies at the very start (5-1 lead) beacame a surprising loss 7-8 and victory for France. A very surprising scenario: The many forest and opposing hills & Towns are breaking the numerous allies waves ... Can't wait to see the other player's reports!

We've been playing it with Leboucher last friday.

1st round : Allies were beaten 8/2 (the dices were very bad for Leboucher and the victory was gained in the centre).
2nd round : Allies won by 8/3 using in the beginning a "La Grande Manoeuvre" and a Short Supply on the unit in the church.

Managing his hand is still difficult in this quasi-first game...

The published scenario has an extra Forest tile - in the middle section 2nd hex to the right of the hills where Rouget is positioned behind. Vassal module 3.42 also has the tile missing.

A very exciting scenario which saw Soult come within one block of victory. Cole finally took the town to end the game 8-7 for the British. Block count was far in favor of the French, but Reille and Taupin both went down early severely hampering the French. The fight over the church was particularly grim for both sides.

2 games yesterday evening at our club :
1st : 8/4 for the Allies. Despite a very frightening french offensive on their right flank and very weak english response (French was already leading 4/2), Allied forces achieved to launch counterattacks on center and left flank and conquerred the church and the town of Boes.
2nd : 8/2 for the French. The French were very lucky on their dice despite the Allied Tactic cards. The church was taken but the medail didn't count because the game finished the next french turn.

Two French victories - 8-6 and 8-5. In both games, the British attack on St Boes was a fiasco. The British strength opposite the village can lull you into a false sense of superiority, and it certainly looks intimidating from the French side, but you need a following wind to successfully assault the village and neither of us got this. This an interesting scenario.
