OK, so now seems a good time to start.

The players are
Mark McG (GMT +10)
Michal K (GMT +2)
TheMP (GMT)
toddrew (GMT -6)
Grondeaux (GMT -5)
Sufete (GMT +2)

and I think 2 teams of 3 players will work better that 3 teams of 2 players.
So on that basis, let's give Borodino a try.

The set of scenarios is;
211 Borodino - Village of Borodino (7 September 1812)
212 Borodino - Utitza (7 September 1812)
213 Borodino - Raevski Redoubt (7 September 1812)

So Team A I determined by random rolls; and the Russian team is
Mark McG (GMT +10)
TheMP (GMT)
Sufete (GMT +2)

and therefore Team B (the French) are;
Michal K (GMT +2)
toddrew (GMT -6)
Grondeaux (GMT -5)

So each team needs now to pick a player for each scenario. I'll PM my team mates via ccnapoleonics.net.

I had the intention of a mutual reveal, but I can't quite think how to do that right now.
Probably make little difference.

OK, the Russian team have assigned their players to the scenarios.

Do we use the v2.55 module, or the v3 module?
On the whole I would prefer to update, but if we do there are a range of choices to be made. The easiest is to use the original 70 card deck with whichever module.
Whether we even need bother with consistency is debatable, so maybe just let players sort it out as they play.

Mark,

I'd prefer to play the old deck as I am still learning my trade. In other words the cards that come with the game. I won't be trying the new stuff until I get them in my hand when I buy the expansion.

I agree with TheMP. I'd also rather we stick with the old 70 card option this time.

Hi All,

yes, let us stick to the old deck for time being (so older vassal module also).
I am contacting Thom and Todd via email so we candecide who plays which scenario.

I probably missed it somewhere in conversation - how do we establich winner? more banners in total? Or more won games?

Victory for the team is calculated by the sum of banners over all 3 scenarios. So carrying on the example, it the results are
211 Borodino - Village of Borodino (7 September 1812) Russ 7 French 5
212 Borodino - Utitza (7 September 1812) Russ 6 French 7
213 Borodino - Raevski Redoubt (7 September 1812) Russ 10 French 8
the sum total is Team A 23, Team B 20.

Team A & Team B then reverse side, and again secretly assign players. The sum of both rounds determines victory, so for example in the first round Team A scores 23 and Team B 20. In reverse Team A scores 17, and Team B 22, then final total is Team A = 40, Team B scores 42.. a Team B victory.

It can make a difference, but to balance it, let say in first round Team A first assigns players, in Round 2 - Team B.

So report results on this thread. Banner count only, I don't see the need for block count. If it is a tie, so be it.

So have at it gents. Just 1 game, so in the next 2 weeks please.
