Started well for the Rebels with a British Light Infantry and Regular Infantry units destroyed under fire, and then a Grenadier unit breaking at full strength under fire. We were rolling bags of Retreat symbols on the dice and at 3-0 up, we were confident.

And that's when the game went into full reverse......

1. Abercrombie joined the artillery and Light Infantry on the left to leave Stark's command in tatters and in full retreat.
2. Pigot took the Light Infantry on the left to destroy the Riflemen in Charlestown and encircle the rear of Breed's Hill.
3. Howe led the Regulars and surviving Grenadiers in a devasting attack that wiped the American centre and overran Breed's Hill.
4. The Americans fired and melee'd their little hearts out but just could not land a hit after their early successes.

A 6-3 win to the British that belied the early 3-0 lead the Americans had.
