Played the scenario twice so far. Both close games. First one the Jacobites won 6 to 4 after 15 turns. Second game Jacobites won again 6 to 5 after 12 turns. Highlanders seem to have the advantage if they can get up close a charge in for melee. Fun scenario!

6/4 & 6/2 for the Jacobites. Interesting scenario maybe played with a wrong rule of Retire & Reform. I have to read the rules to see if we made an error.

2 large historical victories for the Jacobite side. The Government side wasn't able to launch its counterattack on the right flank.
A fierce engagement and a quick game each time.

Two Government wins, 6-4 and 6-1.

In game 1 the Gordon Highlanders almost carried the game single-handedly but were eventually all destroyed along with The Gordon (double-sabred!). Marischal's Battle Cavalry took a shot (no hits) and promptly broke and fled. Argyll's Battle Cavalry launched a cavalry charge and obliterated all 3 units of Jacobite Lowlanders. The Government forces turned a 0-3 deficit into a 6-4 win.

In game 2, Gordon stayed put whilst Mar took in the McKenzie's backed by a Lowlander firing line. The first Government unit hit broke and fled. The McKenzie's were then wiped out in a cavalry charge along with Mar (double-sabred!). The Jacobite Battle Cavalry of Marischal took a shot (no hits) and broke and fled (again). The Government cavalry then followed through and obliterated a unit of Jacobite Lowlanders led by Marischal. Gordon tried to save the day with a Highlander charge but only managed one hit from 5 dice and were destroyed in return. A 6-1 massacre.

Our feeling was this game is decided by too few banners and felt that 7 or even 8 might be better? As for the Highlanders, they look good on paper but if you only roll an average of 1-2 hits per 4 dice, you soon get rolled when their are both Regulars and mounted troops about. As the loser in both games, a good game none the less.
