i would like to buy game but play by myself is it possible to play on your own

I play solo a lot. I just play the cards / tactics as best I can for each side and am honest with myself. Often the most effective moves are clear.

I find it a very easy game to play solitaire. It also helps me work out the nuances of the rules and tactics for a scenario. We often play as a group at my house and I run the game. A play through or two helps me understand things immensely and brush up on rules.
