It had light armor and no fixed weapons, meaning crew firearms would be the only armament available. the Type 95 So-Ki weighed 7.8 tonnes and carried a crew of six. It could attain a top road speed of 18 mph and top rail speed of 44 mph. Japanese industry produced about 135 examples between 1935 and 1943.
