"The Dodge WC series was a prolific range of light 4WD and medium 6WD military utility trucks which came from the factory in many different, purpose-built, but mechanically uniform variants. These included ambulance; command reconnaissance; weapons carrier; maintenance; telephone; cary-all. The type had a maximum speed of 55 mph.
The Dodge and Fargo divisions of the Chrysler Corporation produced about 382,350 units from 1940 into 1945. They saw service in all theaters in which U.S. forces operated, and continued in-service with the U.S. military into the mid-1950s."
