France in the 44' the Germans field all they have left to stop the Allied advance on the western front. The fearsome German snipers stationed in farmhouses and bell towers kill many brave men and officers. In particular, the famous and elusive sniper called "Unfehlbar" (the infallible) terrifies the American general staff having already killed 1 colonel, 3 captains and various lieutenants and minor officers but above all he was able to wound General Patton himself in a recent undercover operation in Paris. MI5 has identified through its network of spies where the formidable enemy is based and although the village is not a strategic objective, the allies launch a surprise offensive to flush out this thorn in the side and weaken the morale of the Nazis.
