The Battle of Bloody Gulch took place around hill 30 southwest of Carentan France on June 13th 1944. The main fighting involved members of the German 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division and the 6th Fallshirmjager Regiment and the American 501st, 502nd, and 506th Parachute Infantry Regiments (PIR) of the 101st Airborne Division reinforced by elements of the U.S. 2nd Armored Division. The Germans siezed the manor house of the town of Manoir de Donville for use as their headquarters. The German forces attacked accross hill 30 toward the American lines. Just before reaching the American lines, the 2nd Armored column of Sherman tanks entered the battle and the German line crumbled and retreated.

Objective In addition to the victory marker, for each German armored unit that exits the map through one of the blue exit hexes, score 2 points. For each squad or halftrack, score 1 point. If the Germans score four points, it is a major German victory. If they score at least three points, it is a minor German victory. If the Allies keep them from scoring any points, it is an Major Allied victory, If the Allies can take the victory marker and keep the Germans from scoring three points, it is a minor Allied victory.

Special Rules You can substute leader decks for a strategy deck on each side, if you do, I recommend Britzkrieger for the Germans and Assaulter for the Allies.
