I don't quite understand why there's a variant rule for this niche unit, when there are already Operations Cards for Nebelwerfer Support (046, 056) and Katyushka Support (047, 057). Looking closely at the stats for all these variants, however, the benefits of this particular unit are: 1) no need for establishing contact; 2) area attack uses 6, rather than 5, dice; and 3) there's no wide blast radius. Not needing to establish contact is the best thing going for this unit, in my opinion. So, in summary, though this is niche, it does seem of value as a separate unit.
