Forward Observer (FOO)

  • A spotter figure may be added to an infantry unit. When a spotter figure is added to an infantry unit, the unit is classified as a forward observer unit.
  • A forward observer unit, when within line of sight and 5 or fewer hexes to an enemy unit, its reserve artillery has observation advantage to the sighted enemy unit. When the reserve artillery has observation advantage, the first targeting die does not cost an HQ. However, the maximum number of targeting dice rolled still remains the same.
