Just wondering if there are any plans to update the site now that the newer GMT version is out.

Thanks.

I've played the GMT version a couple of competitive times and think it might be the best of the C&C series. One question is crossing a fordable stream. Units in the stream are restricted to 2 dice in either combats. Okay, crossing a stream in the face of the enemy is daunting. What I question is why units attacking them also restricted to 2 dice? Having an enemy at the disadvantage of being strung out crossing the water should if anything enhance the attacker (including battling back). Not here. Is there an rationalization I'm not seeing? Was this also the rule in the original edition?

it is a common restriction in C&C games, and the 2 dice restriction was in the original.

the WHY? is something I can't readily answer, there aren't any design notes. With melee it makes an amount of sense in that it is more difficult, but less so with ranged attacks.

My now granular take on the stream rules: Both are restricted in melee combat because both are IN the water. Ranged fire FROM the water is also restricted. Easy to imagine the disruptions. 'Dry' Ranged fire at defenders in the stream is NOT penalized. All Good.
