This the first scenario of three in the famous Sekigahara battle. The scenarios are fought separately, but represent one battle. I was playing RED and Judd was playing BLUE. In this scenario we encountered a new terrain type: field. Only three scenarios of the forty use this terrain type. It is always fun to play with a new terrain. It only takes five banners to win which is typical.
Going in I thought Judd would win. In previous games we learned that the Cav units in this game are battle tanks, especially when combined with a Cav leader. Because Judd had two together on his front row (and three in total), I thought they would crash into my light troops and destroy my line. That is not what happened to start the game, but Judd did win, and win big.
However, I did draw two first strikes and thought this might give me a shot. But it did not. After some light volleys and some movement, I decided to try to hit his right and take out some light and medium troops, it he attacked I would use the FS. However, when I got down close to him there was the possibility of being double-teamed by his two CAVs. I went for the attack against his light troops but was hit with a "Lack of Honor" card which meant my leader on the Cav. unit coul not move. This deprived my front like troops the extra die roll, and left me open to the double attack. It was the turning point in the game.
