Historical Background
By the time of Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, the Austrian army was approaching the borders of France. From Italy,  part of Bubna's division approached the pass of Montgenèvre towards Briançon. At the town of Césanne, a battalion of the French 7th Line skirmished with the Austrian advance guard consisting of 6 companies of Jäger. The French attack was beaten back and the Austrian southern flank was secure.
The stage is set. The battle lines are drawn and you are in command. Can you change history?

Special Rules

All river tiles are fordable with the exception of the Dora Riperia (after the bridge at the town).

If using Tactician deck: ONE Tactician card mentioning CAVALRY or ARTILLERY may be exchanged for a fresh draw, not to be used on the same turn. This should be done at the end of turn before drawing cards normally but after any re-shuffles.
Vassal note: Drag a qualifying Tactician card to the board and discard it. Then draw another from the Tactician Draw deck.

The side whose units occupy more of the four hexes comprising Césanne town, the adjacent forest & bridge hexes than the other gains a banner at turn start.  The banner is immediately lost when neither side retains a majority. The Austrian side starts the game with 1 banner.

Setup guidance:
You may need to use some other Austrian infantry blocks to make up the scenario's quota of Austrian Light units.
The marsh tiles represent rough, alpine terrain.
