Historical Background
After the first clashes for Bagration's Fleches, the fighting was not over. The Russian positions had proven to be a formidable obstacle, and the French were preparing to launch a new attack against the fortifications.
The three Fleches formed an advanced position on the Russian left wing. Their defenders had constructed and reinforced the works to withstand artillery fire and French infantry attacks. For the attackers, capturing the Fleches meant opening a breach in the Russian defensive position and advancing into the heart of their line.
The second attack was more intense and once again brought large masses of infantry supported by artillery into battle. The French units had to approach the fortifications under Russian fire and fight directly for their possession, while the defenders attempted to hold their positions at all costs.
The stage is set. The battle lines are drawn and you are in command. Can you change history?
