Majadahonda - 11 August 1812

Historical Background
Marmont was beaten by Wellington near Salamanca, for having a strong will to overcome the British without waiting for king Joseph, who was approaching. Withdrawing towards Burgos the Army of Portugal left Madrid without support, tha capital city was threatened and the king was obliged to evacuate it. He asked general Trelliard to get in touch with the enemy in order to learn its intentions and its strength and ordered to delay their advance.
For this task, Trelliard had his Dragoons division strengthened by Italian Dragoons « Napoleone » and by a company of Berg Lancers. In the meantime Wellington pushed forward general D’Urban, with his Portuguese cavalry, strengthened by two regiments of heavy cavalry and by a K.G.L. battalion (infantry), supported by 6 artillery pieces. Both parties were followed by reinforcements of their side.
Therefore in the morning of August 11th, D’Urban marching towards Rozas, met the brigade Reizet. It was there alone and very far from the main part of the army. He engaged the battle with his artillery. The French refused to fight and moved back to a secure position, till disappearing along the road of Boadilla. Satisfied with his battling day, D’Urban withdrew to Majadahonda and donated himself a little « siesta », without any beware ... The French Dragoons, however, did return under the Majadahonda hill and ......

Hello,

In the scenario in see light cavalry for the French but on every OOB in found Dragon. Is there any reason ?

Agree .. a difficult task for French cavalry. Is a situation in which one can made a training test like "How to eliminate a battery with Dragoons".
