Hello.
We have a question in the club about the EPIC game for 4 and 8 players.
"Multi-Section Command cards (Recon in Force, Coordinated Advance, Flank Attack, and Forward) are not given to a player."
"Multi-Section Command cards are instead played face-up by the CIC and will order units in the sections of the EPIC battlefield as stated on the card."

These statements, taken from the website itself, indicate that the cards are not given to any player and the CIC will order the units. Does this mean that the units are activated, moved and fought by the CIC?.
Thank you.

It's not my case, but some spanish players are playing a bit strangely due to the translation of a paragraph in the EPIC rules for 2 and 4 players modes, specifically regarding how the CiC plays a multi-section card.

Multi-Section Command cards are instead, played fase up in front of the CIC and will order the units in the sections of the EPIC battlefield as stated on the card.

I assume it's a copy-and-paste error from the 2-player mode, but in 8-player mode it doesn't make much sense because of this additional paragraph.

Each Corps commander is assigned one section of the battlefield to command for the entire battle. The CIC does not have direct command of a battlefield section, but will hand out Command cards for his army and oversee and directs the battle.

Hi, I'd like to ask English speakers how they understand that paragraph.

My answer is the CiC only plays in his sector (in 4 or 6), of course, he doesn't play in more than 1 sector ( his sector and the units marked in the mutisection card).
Obviously, in a 8 player, the CIC doesnt have direct command in battle. Only give cards.

Multisection cards are turned face up by the CIC. Players on the flanks & in the centre then order 1 or 2 units as stated on the card.
