In Waterloo scenario:

Impetuous British Cavalry. Any victorious British cavalry
unit must advance into the vacated hex after regular or
bonus combat.

This part is clear,

but second part

Victorious British cavalry must also advance
the extra one hex after regular combat if one or more vacant
hexes are available (Allied player’s choice of hex).

i don´t understand. A explaining would help

My dice are the hell!

Hi Michael,

I understand that the Victorious British cavalry must take ground (first point) and must do a Cavalry Breakthrough if one or more vacant hexes are available (second point).

You are right : what happens if the only one vacant hex is its original hex ?

As the rules said : "A cavalry unit that moves onto the just vacated enemy hex
and then returns to its original hex is still considered to be on a Cavalry Breakthrough
".

This needs more precision as it could be in contradiction with the special rule which wants to simulate impetuous British cavalry.

cheers,

Hi guys,
just got an answer from GMT Games (Mr Tony Curtis)

The second part was poorly worded.
The second hex must be toward the French mapedge. If more than one such hex is available, the Allied player chooses.
Tony

Hope this sounds good enough. ;)

Total is:

1. Impetuous British cavalry MUST advance after sucessfull battle.

2. If there is no vacant 2nd hex to occupy (closer to French mapedge, while it cannot move backward or any side), it stops on the 1 st one.

Right?

If you want to win the fight, say - "I believe!"

Yes Oleg, I think so..:)

If there is one more vacant hex to occupy (closer to French mapedge), Impetuous British cavalry MUST advance.

If there is two more vacant hexs (the maximum) to occupy (closer to French mapedge), Impetuous British cavalry MUST advance but may choose (left or right).

cheers,
