Here is my battle report for Castalla 1813 fought with 15mm figs on Hexon terrain.
The battlelines are drawn French will assault from the right of pic and the Anglo-Spanish force will defend.
French Heavy Cav ready to to the business
British (Murray) drawn up outside the town about to be in the thick of it.
French Cav charge the guns on the hill and destroy them then after a breakthrough attack find themselves becoming cut off. They manage to escape after the Brits get retreat results instead of hits. Phew!
French Columns arrive to support the Cav, but despite repeated assaults on the hill with heavy losses on both sides the Brits manage to hold out.(Historical Result-so far)
Finally the Allied left makes a desperate push forward to try to alleviate the pressure going on in the centre where the town is at risk of being taken.
The attack is repulsed the allies now fall back. Game Over
We played to 6 banners with the losing side getting a final turn in order to try and draw so final score was
French 7
Anglo-Spanish 5
Post Note as we played with 4 players the troop numbers were increased and to involve all players we allowed the General to draw and play his card then the sub gen would roll 1d3 and activate that number of non activated units these units were not allowed to benefit from any bonuses conferred by the main card played. This actually worked well and a good game was had by all.
More pics were taken however not enough room to display them here. My friend Jeff has a blog which will carry more photos
jjs413 the gen, blogger
