Special Rules
• The Prussian player receives 1 Victory Banner for every Prussian unit that is ordered and exits the battlefield from any hex on the Prussian baseline.

Note that the requirement for this special rule in the tournament is that the Prussian unit to exit must start the Prussian player's turn on the Prussian baseline, be ordered, and then move to exit.

Leaders do not count as Exit Victory Banners

Game 1
Dawnreader (Allies) - 7 Banners
Gileforn (French) - 8 Banners

That was a nice battle with a lot of attacks at the center, well going battling back by Prussians. As a result the most part of the guard forces were destroyed. On the hand Prussians don't want to get back till the end phase, so they have been receiving retreat banners only in last rounds. Final attack by them was too much risky on the left flank but as a result without problems. but grand battery in the center haven't hited alone unit with 7 dice. That made a game.

Game 2
Dawnreader (French) - 7 Banners
Gileforn (Allies) - 8 Banners

This game have started with French rush on the right. All the time Prussian forces tried to get back and as a result recieved 5 banners by this. Other three banners were got by strong battling back. French army had chances but last light infantry on the right ran away.

Thanks to Dawnreader for the great nervous parties.

Game 1

Jim (French) - 8
Steve (Allies) - 5

Steve was very successful running units off the board, which accounted for all 5 banners. I was fortunate and pulled 2 Force March cards and 2 Assault Left cards to close the distance and trap a number of his units. The French occupied the center bridge and forced the Prussians into square on the left bridge, blocking other exits. One Prussian leader fell.

Game 1
GomJabbar (Allies) 8 Banners
Kandras78 (French) 5 Banners

The Prussians started with 2 Short Supplies to move their own units to their baseline. That set the stage for a constant stream of Prussians exiting the map. Based on the Mark McG tournament rule, units had to start their turn on the baseline before moving off. This slowed the mass exodus somewhat. It was looking like a 8-1 victory for the Prussians but in their last turn the French assaulted the left flank and gained 4 banners in 1 turn. The Prussians then exited 2 units on their last turn for the win.

Game 2
Kandras (Allies) 8 Banners
GomJabbar (French) 6 Banners

The French pushed forward aggressively in on the right and center. The Prussian decided to meet the French in the field rather than run to the exit. Banners were traded fairly evenly. The center took heavy losses on both sides. The battle then shifted to the left flank. The French LC tried to grab a bridge for a medal but was destroyed quickly and the Prussians exited for the final banner.

It was a very close match (1 banner difference). Gom's dice were on fire most of Game 1 until that last French turn, then Gom's dice luck looked to continue into Game 2 but in the end things evened out and was well fought on both sides. Thanks Kandras78 for the games. Good luck on the rest of the tournament.

Somehow these Exit conditions can always be gamed..  have to say this one didn't occur to me, and seems like an outlier..

Game One (Prussians win 8-6)
I took the Prussians, EZ the French. The battle started with EZ moving into position and heavily bombarding the center of my line. Meanwhile a bayonet “charge” helped get some of the Prussian infantry in position to start trickling across the bridges. The French ended up having the most success on their left, where EZ’s light cavalry cut through most of Van Horn’s brigade and eventually cut off my access to the bridge. I had more luck on my right, where the favorable terrain and some good dice let me kill a few guard units. Eventually, the French started to break through the Prussian center, but I was able to retreat a last piece of line infantry and secure a 8-6 win. If I hadn’t drawn a center card before my last turn, it probably would have gone the other way. (I somehow lost my .vlog for this one, but have uploaded the .vsav for now.)

Game Two (French win 8-6)
I had a very strong opening hand as the French, with an assault center, force march, and cavalry charge and I used it to throw everything I could at the Prussian center in the first few turns. The Prussians valiantly held onto Chicry for a while, and Marshal Ney went down wounded in the melee. But eventually the quality of the guard troops (and especially the cavalry) broke through and I was able to take the center bridge. EZ managed to withdraw the bulk of his right, and almost came back to win the game when his grenadiers launched a counterattack to retake the bridge, but the Old Guard saved Napoleon’s day. French won 8-6.

On a sidenote, I think the rules change stating that Prussian units have to start their turn on the bridge hex to escape really helps this scenario. Both our games came down almost to the wire — and I suspect both would probably been fairly quick Prussian victories if not for that change.

First game was long and difficult. My Left Flang was very strong. And stopped French attaks, Center and Left were and hard pressure, so they bravely run to the bridge))
Second game was very fast/ I had 2 Marshes ams Cavalery CH+1.

Game 1
RiverWanderer (Prussians) - 7 Banners
Viridovilas (French) - 8 Banners

The French surged forward early, with cavalry leading the way, attempting to stem the rapid Prussian retreat. In the end, the Prussian defence was a little too light and the French succeeded, just!

Game 2
Viridovilas (Prussians) - 3 Banners
RiverWanderer (French) - 8 Banners

French cavalry were again in action early, with Guard Light Cavalry eliminating the Prussian Light Infantry before they could make good an escape. From there, the French were able to develop rapidly in the centre, bringing forward the Old Guard to clear a way to the Prussian rear. Once again, the French had occupied both bridges by the end of the game.
