Hi all.

me and Twan (Soul1st) played yesterday our game 1 with the new module version. It worked well but the saved log weighs more than 10 Mbs. I hope we can load it in this forum, once we will have played also the return match.In any case, we experienced a pair of rule issues we are not sure we properly solved.

1.    Can an infantry that takes ground leave a garrison behind if it battles from a city hex? (we assumed NO, since it doesn’t make a “move” action in this case. Is this the right interpretation?)

2.    Can the Prussian player use a Iron Will counter in order to make its Cavs ignoring a bounce flag from an infantry in square? (again we assume NO, but please take a look at this Bgg post, it’s unclear: boardgamegeek.com/thread/1268480/iron-wi...ters-vs-bounce-flags )

1. No, for the reason you state

2. No, because I don't see Iron Will is different to Guard cavalry. My opinion.

Viridovilas (French) 8 Banners
Soul1st (Prussian) 5 Banners

Game 2
Soul1st (French) 4 Banners
Viridovilas (Prussian) 8 Banners 

Both battles were closer than scores might suggest. French left flank proved to be decisive. In the first battle Nansouty managed to win his charge against the only relative weak point of the Prussian army. In the second one, Allies troops stood still in front of the enemy charge and then took advantage of their superior numbers on their centre and left flanks.



 
 

First game of round one finished. We will switch sides next week for the next game.

gdnuke (Prussians): 8 banners and 30 blocks lost
Gonzo (French): 6 banners and 30 blocks lost

Played with 4.1.16 module - both on laptops and not sure of the heavy weight of the Module 5 version.
