502 Sorauren - French right early afternoon (28 July 1813) [ICT2022 - Round One - 1st game]
French(Samim Togan Alper) 8 vs Allies(A) 9
The French were early on the throat of the Allied Right(LGM played as the first card). Allies were able to withdraw from the hills in relatively good order, while their artillery opened up to cover the flanking force of gen. Madden. The French were not distracted and initiated a Bayonet Charge in the center. A Portuguese LT was scattered and the British Lights decimated while holding their ground. An Allied counter had mixed results. French pressed on with great Elan! the Allies barely held. Musketry took a heavy toll on the French. The Blue line hurled forward once more destroying 2 units. Allies responded with deadly ranged fire again. Both sides consolidated to the hill line wrestling for victory. Luck favored the Reds in the end.

502 Sorauren - French right early afternoon (28 July 1813) [ICT2022 - Round One - 2nd game]
French(A) 9(7+2) vs Allies(Samim Togan Alper) 5
Both sides tried to form up while exchanging fire. The Brits ordered a Bayonet Charge down the hills hitting hard the French Line. The Blues countered with their own charge reaching the hills. Heavy fighting ensued for the ridge with casualties on both sides. Finally, French Cavalry was able to pin down the Allied left in squares even though the infantry struggled to take advantage of the situation. A desperate and final attempt by gen. Lambert to chase off the French from the heights was unsuccessful.
Two extremely tense and long battles with many epic moments and twists with an excellent opponent.
