New Mini Tournament proposals

As the Open Tournament moves into the finals, it is time to look at the next Mini-Tournament.

I'm looking for feedback on the content of the next Mini-Tournament, and some options I percieve are;

1. A tournament of mixed scenarios from all the modules
2. A 1 vs 1 EPIC tournament
3. A fan scenario tournament
4. An American Civil War tournament using BattleCry module and scenarios, and adapted CCN rules
5. Peninsular War scenarios (revisit with GMT cards)

and I'm happy to hear any other thoughts.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.

I like the #1 option, maybe play one epic game. Have not played BattleCry in years but the adapted CCN rules sounds fun are there different Infantry types? You have picked out balanced scenarios in the past which makes it fun.

The revised BattleCry rules are here
www.commandsandcolors.net/battlecry/foru...onics-adaptions.html

They have been playtested using the original cards, and I've seen VASSAL players using Michael's new card decks without any problems.
So I think it is do-able, but I note it significantly enhances the power of the defence.

Any infantry unit types are by scenario, I left the units alone. So there is essentially Line Infantry (with range 3 for rifles), Light Cavalry (with optional ranged fire), and Foot Artillery firing 5-4-3-2-1. BattleCry scenarios introduced Green & Elite infantry, and Horse artillery.

If there is some interest, maybe a test round to see how players find it.

So my thinking here is a set of mixed Napoleonic scenarios, with an alternate choice of a BattleCry scenario Napo-style for consenting adults. The banner count would have to be the same for each Round, regardless of scenario, which isn't particularly difficult.

I hope to put a scenario set together this weekend.

so how I see this working is a normal Mini-Tournament, with a default Napoleonics Scenario.
however, for each round, there would be an alternate option of a Battle Cry scenario if both players agree.
I'd urge players to use the Battle Cry rules with C&C Napoleonics adaptions found here
www.commandsandcolors.net/battlecry/foru...onics-adaptions.html

CCNBC

all scenarios are worth 6 banners

bit of a novelty
